Parties, Changi and Sadness

It's time to say goodbye again to last semester exchange students. Time passed very fast and we didn't realize it's time to apart. They've come to our life and we became good friends. Now they are leaving. They may be sad like us but it's only once. I don't know they'll forget about this sadness after a while. For us, this feeling becomes a cycle every year. Next semester, there will be new friends and we'll hang out together and finally have to leave. Life is really impermanent as Buddha said. But I hope our friendship will last forever. (however good friends we were, Yong Jun, Hetty, Keith and Fred never contact me. Arthur & Vince msn me once or twice and Patrick a few times only).

Monday @ the New Year Day

We had BBQ party on Monday night at East Coast Park. Thanks, Julian and Shunhao for organizing it. It's quite fun. It's one of the very few occasions that I hanged out with such a large numbers of exchange students this term cos I've been too busy to hang out with them throughout the whole semester, unlike last term. Haha... I managed to drink no alcohol on New Year Day when we Buddhists are supposed to keep Five Precepts, including no alcohol. But, did I keep other 4? Haha... I came back home at 12:30. Thanks Haga and Dee for paying me cab fees cos my wallet was empty.

Tuesday

Sorry Yang for not being able to see you off at the airport. It's too early for me to get up at 4:00 plus. Wish you "Bon Voyage!" Have fun in Hongkong before going back to the States. In the evening we had farewell party for Jong Eun and Hee Jin at Makan Sutra @ Esplanade. Thanks Haga for organizing this although I'm the one who's supposed to organize. Jong Eun's leaving with today morning 8:30 flight. Have a safe trip back home!

Abbey is also leaving in the afternoon today, Karen on Thursday, Hee Jin & Tehi on Friday and Lam & Irene on Saturday. So, you can find me at the airport quite often this week.

Lee Jong Eun

Lee Jong Eun, my very first buddy at SMU, is from Inha University in Korea. She's quite fluent in English and Malay(interestingly).

Some Memories within 8 months

1) I was late when I picked her up at the airport (as usual).
2) Two weeks after she arrived came her birthday (see pic) and it's the first outing with lots of friends.
3) She's my good classmate in Statistics. We've chatted a lot during lectures cos it's so boring. :p
4) Thanks for celebrating my birthday and your present.
5) Contact me first when you go me Myanmar again next time.

We had shared a lot to each other from cultures to studies. It's really nice getting to know you and be your buddy. Wish you all the best in your last semester and your internship!

Shi Yang

He's first guy from U Penn that I've ever known. Although we don't see each other often, I can see his friendliness and sincerity. I'm glad to buddy up with someone smart. He's a nice guy who likes to protect his friends especially someone among exchange students haha... Good luck, dude! Have fun in Hong Kong ya!

Something about Yang......

1) We were waiting for each other at different Station Controls at Outram Park MRT for 1 hour.
2) Thanks for the Chinese New Year's Eve party at your house. You are such a good cook!
3) He's quite independant among Asian exchange students. (Perhaps it's because he's from the States)

Guys, I hope we can still keep in touch in future and still be good buddies!
