BOSS & Host Family

SMU students have become crazier and crazier. I can't believe they bidded Science, Exploration and Society (SES) course for at least around e$50 up to e$80. Are they so rich in e$? I also got e$285 for this term and spent e$30 on average except for Strategic Brand Management (which I might wanna drop hehe... just kiasu and bidded everything I can take, not I wanna take). think those who bidded for SES may be like myself haha... Anyway, why is that course quite popular? Well, let's fight again in BOSS 1B!
I've been in Japan for 4 months, but only now did I manage to contact my host family whom I stayed with for 2 weeks in Osaka 6 years ago. They moved from Osaka to Tokyo 5 years ago which is the last contact that I received. Meanwhile, my family also moved to another town in Yangon. So, we really lost in touch! Last month, I went to AFS, the organization which sponsored my exchange 6 years ago, to check my host family's address. But, they only had the old one. Finally, I tried one of the numbers which I thought was no longer in use. I'm so surprised and happy! But, the problem is they moved to Yamaguchi prefecture which is at the end of Honshu island near Hiroshima and Kyushu island. It means I might not be able to visit them cos my schedule is very tight now and the transportation is very expensive. Even if I take overnight bus, I have to pay 23,000 yen for round trip. Bullet train will cost me around 40,000 yen and the flight is almost the same. Sigh! Anyway, I'll try! If not for the Fuji Trip on 25th and lunch with AFS volunteer whom I'm meeting on this Sat for the first time after 6 years, I could have gone to Yamaguchi, Hiroshima and perhaps Beppu, Fukuoka and Korea (if I've planned earlier)
If anyone knows cheap ways to go Yamaguchi Prefecture, let me know! Thanks zillionssssss.......
