Oops, I did it again!
People said SMU students are crazy. Go to school after midnight. You'll see a lot of them in the library mugging overnight. We are that crazy! But, I'm craizer than them. Not only did I hold a party last saturday, I was also dragged to midnight KTV after that.
Although farewell parties or birthday celebrations as well as KTV sessions are routines for SMU buddies, this is my first time having fun 2 days before exam week starts. I have 3 papers but the HongKees passed the ball to me to throw a farewell party for Asian exchange students. Although I'd have wanted to say 'no' cos of my 3 papers on consecutive days plus JLPT on Sunday, I did organize it cos my this term buddy's birthday is on that day as well as some exchange students will start travelling on 29th and may not meet all after exams.
Hosted by Hiroko, we had a potluck cum BBQ at her condo with 22 people (from HK, Taiwan, China, Korea, Japan, 1 SMU fresh alumnus/ex-SMU buddy and me). Thanks God, not a lot of students (Korean, mainland chinese, Thai, Filippinos and HK) came, otherwise they'd starve to death 'cos we hadn't finished buying foods until 8pm :( Thanks to Inhee who was forced to be in charge of bbq-ing the meats. Koreans are the master of BBQ. The funniest thing is one Japanese guy who wrote bday wishes for 2 bday boys forgot to pass the cards back to us and brought with him to Australia. So, we won't get back the birthday card to 2 bday boys until he came back from his trip in late Dec.
Anyway, it's quite fun and everyone forgot about SMU (actually only me cos the rest don't care about exams as they only need "pass"). After the party, we went to ktv at Dynasty at Peace Centre. It's very sleezy but we paid only 7 bucks each for 1 drink for 3 hrs unlike 30+++ at KBox on Sat night. As usual, I felt sorry for Japanese and Korean due to lack of songs. SQ told me to be in charge of choosing Japanese songs while he took care of Korean side. In the end, only he and me sang Korean and Japanese songs instead of the Korean and Japanese students cos these songs are too old for them and some are more popular in Singapore like "Only Human" by "K" from "1 Litre of Tears".

Among farewell parties, I miss the farewell @ KBox for 2005 Term 1 batch with Pat, Arthur, Vince, YJ, GaYeon, etc. I'm not as sad as that time. Perhaps, I'm very used to it since this is 5th batch for me. (haha... hopefully I won't eat my words back when I see them off at the airport). As for Birthday parties @ KBox, Kohsuke's party is the most fun besides my own bday haha...
