Wikipedia, me and my name

Wiki is so cool. I couldn't believe that my name is there when my friend told me that she saw my name under my high school session. I didn't even know that they put my high school, not to mention my name (though the spelling of my name is slightly different from the way I spell). Looking at that name list, I'm quite embarrassed that I've become such a lazy person underperforming my own standard now. People said Singapore is very competitive. I'm not as competitive as I was. It's such a shame to me.

Perhaps I'm weird but sometimes I google my name to see if I was on any news. Except in a Burmese newspaper archive, I can't find it anywhere. I was surprised that wiki put my name 'cos I don't think even Burmese cyclopedia described about me.

When I was young, I hate my own name 'cos my friends rhymed my name with a bad thing. I hate my first name espeically 'cos it kinda gives me antique feeling cos very few people use that word nowadays, which has been used for more than 1000 yrs ago as a title for heroes, kings, generals, etc. You might ask why I hated a unique name. Burmese names are different from English name in such a way that each word has a meaning and few words are combined to form one name which may or may not have a meaning as a whole. But my name has meaning in one word as well as the whole. Another interesting thing is that most Burmese name have a word showing which day he/she was born. Every generation there are some popular words which people use in some part of their name. For guys in my generation, a lot of them have "Tun" (not Tun in Malayu) or "Zaw". But, very few people use "Htin", or some more "Htin Kyaw" as a whole cos it's a reverse order of "Kyaw Htin" which is part of the tile of the kings or founders of first and second dynasties of Burma as well as other heroes. Most of the time people also got my name wrong cos they are used to the reverse order. Anyway, after high school, I love my name cos I found people with similar or exact name to me have something similar. Recently, there is one guy in school with similar name as me. I found out that he also has some reason to be on wiki as me. One of my senior 2 years ago from my school too is also on the same list. Anyway, I love my name 'cos my parents gave it to me whereas my siblings like any other people were named by fortune-tellers or relatives who know astrology. haha....
