Finally it's over. I don't know if I can make it or not. But, I won't stop here 'cos Nippon is waiting for me. JLPT 1 next year! No matter what my JLPT 2 result is!
From now on, I have official holidays. Despite my teacher's discouragement, I forced myself to squeeze 1 year-long preparation into 3 months. As a result, I was exhausted after exam. But, of cos I DIDN'T manage to memorize 1000 kanji, 5000 vocabularies and 180 plus grammatical patterns. The killer is the vocab and kanji cos I skipped a lot of levels to take this test without enough vocabularies.
To make things worse, I was late for the test with a bunch of Jap freaks who took the same bus with me cos we followed one girl, one of the test takers, who was running in front of us. We thought she knew the way and followed to the opposite direction without asking the people on the street. In the end, that girl (I didn't know her actually) and me took cab to go to the school which is less than 500 m away.
The vocab session was surprisingly easy but my favorite session, listening, where my strength is, was very difficult. I couldn't concentrate at all. But, the killer was the reading which I couldn't finish. Anyway, I felt like I was in Japan again cos the surrounding is very Jappy. The school is for Japanese expatriates' kids in Singapore. What's more, everyone speaks the same language as me, i.e., some guys even have longer hair than me with so many blings blings & girls wear so many layers of clothes as if they are in Tokyo now where the current temp is 8-14 'C. Now I realized I'm not the only Jap freak! Stop talking about my bag and my small little white tie.
Since the test is over, I'm worried whether I still have the urge to study cos the next test is in Dec 2008 which is a long way to keep my motivation to study without exchange program and JLPT. Would it be a better idea to get a Japanese ..... ? hehe... I mean job.
