Can I be Jack of all arts and still master of everything?
I dropped out of RUMMAGE, the first dance concert by E-mix & Caderas. Haiz! I'm quite sad cos there are only 2 guys left in the team now. But, I can't help cos it's very tough for a beginner like me. The rest are like experts loh! My legs were still painful until yesterday.
I don't know why I gave up so easily this time. Perhaps, because of the "personality test" talk. They said those who are active in school actvities seem like energetic because they don't use all their engergy in every jobs. In other words, they are Jack of all arts but Master of none. After much consideration, I realized I need to prioritize something and master that thing loh. Actually I could stay in RUMMAGE but is it worth to do? Hmm.... It's quite sad that I haven't performed on stage for so long. Almost one year liaoz after performing with Samba and acting Yudi in Mid-Autumn Fest. I quit Samba and didn't join "The sword has two edges", a play by StageIt. So, this summer I have nothing to perform! Hopefully, I can go back to Samba for convocation 2006. Or, dance with Caderas??? In Burmese saying, I'm like a monkey losing branches when jumping from one tree to the other. I don't know whether Samba will still accept me or Caderas will let me in their group.
Anyway, my priority for this summer is to prepare for my exchange program. So, I must work to save money. Learn Korean or Japanese cos I still don't know where to go. Should I master Japanese or start learning Korean? I love Japan and I miss it a lot since the last time I came back from there. But, I have more friends in Korea and they are more friendly than my Japanese friends. But, the thing is I don't know Korean at all compared to Japanese which I've finished elementary.
Things to do in this summer:
1. Work part time
2. Learn Japanese
3. Learn Korean
4. Take dance lessons outside school
5. Join Int'l Peace Day Orgainizing Committee
I don't know if I should devote my time in all those things or just do 1, 2 and 4? If I study Korean, then I will be able to speak 5 languages liaoz, but it will definitely steal my time to study Japanese. :( Then, Int'l Peace Day Organizing Comm! If I join, it's very good for my Resume cos it's a uni-wide event and maybe even featured in Straits Times like last year, and of cos the experience that I'll gain is also a lot. But, I'll really be busy and may not even be free to work. And, what I'm scared most is to affect my GPA. But, when we apply job, is it all about GPA or CCA? Haiz!!! Really don't know what to do!
Any suggestions???
