Last Farewell
I said farewell to Penny & Edwin who's leaving at 6:40 am today. They were supposed to leave yesterday but I forgot to contact them the day before yesterday. But, for god's sake, they missed their flight lol.... Now I'm not the only stupid person who's missed his flight before. They saved money not taking taxi to the airport but in the end they have to pay for another air ticket for $400 plus. Although their new flight is 6:40 am but they went to the airport last night. Again, they missed the last train going to the airport and had to take bus instead. I hope they would reach HK safely haha... But, $400 plus would be worth for Edwin cos the bus he's supposed to take from HK airport to his house yesterday got into accident. They are the last close friends of mine who have gone back home.
I guess I don't have to go to the airport again until my new buddy comes in few weeks time. Yet, I still haven't known who my buddy will be. Who am I to blame? The current lousy exco or the previous exco who chose the current exco? or Should I blame myself for choosing the previous exco who didn't do their job choosing the right exco for current term? No wonder our own members were quite pissed off with this shitty club. The people there just joined exco for the sake of their resume. I don't wanna be Mahathir but I have to say that I regretted stepping down for the sake of the club. I stepped down 'cos I had to go for exchange last term but the president whom I chose cos I thought he would commit the whole term also didn't fulfill his whole term and went for overseas internship right after final exam. His finance director even took term 2 off for overseas internship, not to mention half of the exco graduated from SMU and didn't care what their successors are doing now. They argued that they are just students. Then, why did they fight with others to get exco positions while they couldn't fulfill their responsibility? We just lack "passion" in our club!
I joined a club similar to my club in Rikkyo. They are smaller than our club but the members are very passionate and committed to the club. I was very touched by their farewell party before I left. Some more even the VP sent me off to the airport at 6:30 am. But, in SMU I can't even find the SMU buddy himself/herself sending off their exchange buddy, not to mention the president or VP of the club.
Another farwell! My HSBC president stepped down liaoz. She's taking a term off for personal health problem, according to her (though the board suspects that she's either on academic probation or was forced to take the leave by school due to her health, i.e., obviously the mental health). So, we have no choice but to dissolve HSBC. Now, I can safely take any OM courses with being afraid of her joining my project group next term. But then, without her stupidness in class, it'll be very boring and there won't be any stress releaser emails during exam periods! Anyway, I wish my juniors all the best next year when she comes back. lol... Do email and update me ya! I might need to destress at work by then.
