The Warlords
I caught "The Warlords" on the very first day of its release in Singapore. Despite the strong casts and the story, it was below my expectation in terms of special effects which've become norms for such kinda ancient Chinese shows. Besides less special effects compared to Hero(Jet Li & Zhang Ziyi), Jet Li is so old now. Anyway, it's a good movie!


Result

My SP result was out on Thurs and it's within my expected range though the final exam score should have been better. Well, what can I expect by reading the textbook for the first time in the whole semester within 1.5 days just before the exam? Slack prof + slack student = lousy result! Anyway, I'm a bit surprised that someone got D+ although my groupmate said he's already expected who that person'd be. Actually, everyone in the same group get the same scores except for the final exam. So, my group is in the same range except for someone special. Prof must have hated the writing of that person so much bah. lol...

Brand & Consumers
I accompanied one of my friends yesterday to buy a bag. He paid $189 for a crumpler-look-alike bag although his initial budget was around $60 only. My consumer behavior course knowledge can't explain me why he bought such a bag whose brand he doesn't even know. I could understand if it were crumpler (although I don't like crumpler). He said he wanna be unique and doesn't wanna carry a common brand. But, the design and quality are not that different from crumpler's except the brand logo. Same quality, same price but unknown brand for the same price, will you buy? I won't buy if Creative comes out with Zen-Touch at $498. Anyway, I also don't wanna go along with the mainstream people and thus I won't buy crumpler which is overpriced. Another friend of mine bought 3 or 4 bags of crumpler from Europe. I'd rather save that money to buy LV.
